About
Hey there, I’m Marbrey Myers! I am an Athenian, a proud mother of four children, a lover of travel and the outdoors, and all things that grow and need light! I am the daughter of a landscape architect and a radio talk show host, which means formatively both an appreciation for plants and storytelling has always been present. My path to art has been anything but linear, but always rooted in a deep sense of home and family. From a former competitive gymnast to a student of psychology and now immersed in my journey of motherhood, I’ve drawn inspiration from every experience in my life. Movement, learning, growth, life—it is all a form of art in my eyes.
It wasn’t until I was pregnant with my third that I discovered cyanotypes. What began as a simple wish to frame a fern for my home soon grew into a full fledged passion project. I fell in love with the process—how it allowed me to merge art and nature, freezing moments of growth into beautiful lasting images. Within months, this curiosity evolved into commissioned pieces, local art markets, and slowly a small business.
Cyanotype is one of the oldest photographic processes, dating back to the 19th century. I love that it blends traditional techniques with modern sensibilities. Working with sunlight, chemistry and curiosity, each piece begins with a hands-on process rooted in experimentation and intuition. The process itself has proven to be meditative—each original tells a story of patience, precision and a touch of serendipity. Whether it's the delicate veins of a leaf or a cluster of wild flowers, each is an exploration of color, texture, and light.
Recently, I’ve ventured into hand painting, creating collections of originals that reflect personal style and my artistic journey. As Maya Angelou so perfectly said, “You can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have.” This is the heart of my work and the mindset that I hope to instill and nurture in my children.
Creating brings a fullness to my life—a life full of love, creativity, nurturing how challenges evoke evolution, and discovering over time what brings peace and joy. Thank you for being here and supporting handmade art. I hope my work brings a little calm, curiosity, and blue beauty into your world.
